My husband had an appointment in Dr Gottlieb’s office in Danville, Ca. We are from Sacramento, CA He came highly recommended by another surgeon. Dr Gottlieb M.D. gave us quality time he did not rush us through the appointment. He went over my husband’s records asking detailed questions regarding his previous surgeries, We went in for a consultation for a hernia repair, after the examination my husband was informed that at this time no surgery was necessary, I could see the relief on my husband’s face. We were very impressed with this visit and would highly recommend him to our friends or anyone else who needs a surgeon.

I was sent to Emergency because of stomach bleeding, which was caused by a medium size tumor in my stomach, and that was the time I met Dr. Gottlieb. Two weeks later Dr. Gottlieb performed a surgery to remove my stomach tumor, surgery was done carefully and successfully.

Several years ago, my husband was in SRRMC for gallbladder issues. Dr. Gottlieb was the surgeon on call and despite the GI doc wanting to remove it, Dr. G suggested that we wait because the issue did not seem that bad. Thank God we listened to him! A few days later, the problem had passes and he still had a gallbladder. His competent assessment of the issue and not pushing for costly surgery, built our confidence in his judgment. A couple of years later, my husband had a hernia that needed repaired. Dr. G did the procedure, no issues, recovery was great. Then last year, I had to have a tumor removed from my breast. Of course, he was our choice for the surgery. And as always, it went perfectly, healed fast, and everything was just as he told us it would be. We highly recommend Dr. G for all surgical needs you may have.

He was very thorough in explaining the medical conditions and options. I was very confident in his abilities. He was highly recommended by hospital staff. He spent a lot of time explaining the procedures and complications along the way. I would highly recommend Dr. Gottlieb.

This was my first visit with Dr Gottlieb. He spent a long time with me going over my past records, took me through my CT scans slide by slide, went over my diet, and thoroughly explained my condition and options to me. I have never been to a physician so courteous, patient and caring. I strongly recommend Dr. Gottlieb to anyone. He was simply fantastic.

Dr. Gottlieb is an exceptional surgeon in that not only are his clinical skills excellent he must have aced that “bedside manner” course in medical school. He spends as much time as needed for you to understand your diagnosis and his plan for treatment. Very kind, professional, and thorough. Is not often you find a surgeon with such a caring and patient manner. He is a gem.

I was extremely ill when I was referred to Dr. Gottlieb and required IV feeding for 17 days prior to the surgery. During my recovery both in and out of the hospital Dr. Gottlieb spent as much time with my wife and as we required. He always was interested and prepared. Sue in his office was exceptional. He was instrumental in returning my quality of life. I would recommend this Dr. to anyone.
